Our Mission

The Folklore Tattoo Collective is committed to providing a safer space to get a tattoo that is body positive, accessible, respectful and inclusive of all genders, bodies, skin types, races, ethnicities, abilities and identities. The comfort of our clientele is an utmost priority and we strive to create an environment that is welcoming, supportive, affirming, and comfortable to our clients and fellow artists.

Environmentally friendly business policies are important to us and we are dedicated to choosing ecologically sound practices wherever possible. This includes prioritizing sustainable and biodegradable disposables, environmentally conscious waste disposal, and minimizing waste whenever possible without sacrificing safe standards of cleanliness.

We believe that Art is for everyone and wish to encourage a greater access to the arts for our community. We are committed to the principal that art fosters community and wherever able we intend to support community engagement with the arts by promoting and platforming local artists, workshops, and events outside of or adjacent to tattoo culture including but not limited to fine art, theater, dance, music, and performance art.
